DA 261 hook

Original Dürkopp Adler hook for 261 series machines. The hook is the heart of stitch formation: it picks up the needle loop and interlocks it with the lower thread.

When a hook needs changing

A hook with a worn or chipped point causes intermittent skipped stitches, and it is a fault people nearly always look for first in the tension or the needle. If after changing the needle and thread the problem keeps coming back at random, and especially if it gets worse with speed, the hook is the suspect. Replacing it means readjusting the timing with the needle, so it is best done with the manual to hand or by a technician.

Before ordering: check the subclass

Parts change between subclasses of the same series. The full subclass is on the head’s rating plate, and it is the detail that avoids a wrong order. If you do not have it to hand, send us a photo of the plate and another of the fitted part by WhatsApp to 659 73 09 68 and we will identify it.
