Original Dürkopp Adler bobbin for 261 series machines. The bobbin holds the lower thread and, although it may seem unimportant, it is one of the parts that causes the most tension faults when it gets bent.

When a bobbin needs changing

A bobbin that has been knocked, has a burred rim or play on the shaft upsets the lower tension and produces an irregular stitch without the machine showing any other symptom. It is worth keeping several in rotation and ruthlessly discarding any that has been dropped on the floor: a distortion of tenths of a millimetre is enough to cause problems. The minimum order is 10 units, which is roughly what one workstation needs to keep going.

Before ordering: check the subclass
