What single-ply cutting is for
A single-ply cutter cuts one layer, piece by piece, directly from the pattern file. It is the solution for leather, technical and rigid materials, samples, prototypes and short batches, and for expensive materials where yield matters more than speed.
What sets each model apart
- TC 3001 C: modular CNC cutter with camera recognition, which scans the material in 2D or 3D before cutting.
- Leather cutting system: complete, modular system, from scanning the hide to the cut piece.
- Cutty: compact band cutter for small spaces, based on the technology of the TC3001 series.
- Arista: compact, robust and economical. It is the entry point to automated cutting for samples and small batches.
The case of leather
Leather is not a uniform roll: it has an irregular outline, areas of different quality and defects. Scanning it lets you place the pieces around those defects and get more out of each hide, which is where the investment pays back.
