The machines

ScreenSonic 360

Ultrasonic bonding machine for joining technical textiles for screens and awnings. The ultrasonic head travels automatically over the clamped fabric. It covers all processing steps: NonVi keder, plug-in profile, joints, T-Rail, UltraZip and hem. Average speed 6 to 10 m/min.

See the Jentschmann ScreenSonic 360 data sheet →

WeldsonicTwin 4.0

High-performance ultrasonic bonding machine with two sonotrode heads for joining awning panels. New generation of sonotrodes with a smooth coated surface and 10% greater amplitude. 13" touch screen and automatic electric clamp. Average speed 10 to 13 m/min.

WeldsonicBlind

Ultrasonic machine designed for applying edge tapes or sealing edges on fabrics for interior sun protection, mainly for the automotive industry. Movable table with 1000×500 mm support surface. Welding speed up to 20 m/min and maximum seam length of 1000 mm.

WeldsonicSolo

Stand-alone flat-table ultrasonic machine for continuous cutting or bonding of fabrics with heat-activated adhesive tapes and welding of thermoplastic membranes. 35 kHz ultrasonic generator, welding width 7, 11 or 20 mm and speed 0.3 to 10 m/min. Table 1500×500 mm.

WeldsonicFilter

Ultrasonic welding machine for continuous bonding and sealing of pleated filter materials. Sonotrode and anvil wheel driven by independent servo motors. Up to 2 ultrasonic heads, welding width up to 10 mm and speed up to 10 m/min. Pleat height 10 to 100 mm.

Which one fits your workshop

By operation, not by machine. Joining awning panels in series is the Twin 4.0, with its two heads; the complete screen and awning process (keder, profile, T-Rail, UltraZip and hem) is the ScreenSonic 360; edge sealing for interior sun protection is the Blind; continuous cutting and bonding on a flat table is the Solo; and pleated filter is the Filter.

Welding doesn't pierce the fabric. Unlike sewing, ultrasonic joining leaves no needle holes. That is why it is the way to go when the piece has to be watertight or the edge must be sealed and fray-free.

But it depends on the material. Ultrasonic welding works on thermoplastics: PVC, coated polyester, screen fabrics. Solution-dyed acrylic is not thermoplastic and has to be sewn. Many workshops end up combining both technologies because their product range mixes materials.

Tell us what product you make, in which material and in what volume through our contact page and we will tell you which equipment makes sense for your case.
