Grau Apparatebau GmbH manufactures sewing attachments for industrial machines in Mögglingen (Germany): binders, folders, hemmers, edge guides and custom parts.
These are the attachments fitted in front of the presser foot so the seam comes out the same on the first piece and the last. Each attachment is made for a type of machine and for a specific tape or fabric, which is why an order always starts with a sample.

Grau also makes parts that are not in the catalogue to customer specification. To quote them, a drawing or sample is needed, as well as the machine model.
How to order a Grau attachment
When ordering an attachment or a binder, you need to send a sample of the seam or tape and state the machine model. Without a sample the manufacturer cannot guarantee that the attachment will work properly. If you already have the reference, that is enough.
For binders, the reference includes the dimensions. In the E36 30x5x0,8 for Dürkopp Adler 467/767, E36 is the type, 30 the tape width (a), 5 the opening (b) and 0.8 the tape thickness (c).
