Automatic Units for Clothing Manufacture

Dürkopp Adler automatic units for the main garment making operations: welt pockets, pocket setting, overlocking, side seam closing and small parts.

Which operation to automate first

In garment making, the operations automated first are the ones repeated most often and that take the most time: welt and patch pockets, closing long trouser seams, overlocking parts and small parts such as flaps, belt loops, cuffs and collars. Each automatic unit on this page handles one of them:

  • DA 755 / 756: straight and slanted welt pockets, flap pockets and pockets with flap.
  • DA 806: automatic patch pocket setter.
  • DA 1200 / 1265 / 1365: single or twin-head automatic overlockers.
  • DA 1280 / 1281: trouser side seam closers.
  • DA 739: sewing and trimming small parts with templates.
